Indoor EMF: Where Electrosmog Originates in Homes and Offices

When I started fully developing the first Somavedic models 15 years ago, the world looked different. A Wi-Fi router was a rarity in households, and the concept of a "smart home" belonged more in sci-fi movies. Today, the reality is that we are literally surrounded by technology at every step. From the perspective of someone who has spent years studying the impact of the environment on our bodies, I would like to show you where electrosmog originates in our homes and workplaces, and how we can bring our bodies some relief.

I often encounter people looking for the causes of their fatigue or energy drops exclusively in their diet or lack of exercise. These factors are incredibly important, but we often forget about the environment where we spend 90% of our time—the interiors of our homes and offices. Let's take a look at the invisible electromagnetic fields shaping our health and environment.

The Household: An Invisible Network of Smart Helpers

Our homes have become places where technology works for us, but it also constantly communicates within itself. EMF (electromagnetic fields) are not something that only radiate from transmitters on apartment building roofs. They originate right in our living rooms and kitchens.

The most common sources of electrosmog in the household include:

  • Wi-Fi routers: Devices that usually run 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, covering the entire home with a signal.
  • Smart appliances: Refrigerators, washing machines, or robotic vacuum cleaners that are constantly connected to the home network and transmitting data.
  • Induction hobs and microwave ovens: Appliances that generate very strong, albeit localised, magnetic fields during operation.
  • Mobile devices and wearable electronics: Phones, tablets, and smartwatches that we often keep in close proximity to our bodies.

In our home environment, we have the advantage of making the rules ourselves. We can turn the router off at night or remove unnecessary electronics from the bedroom. This gives the body at least a partial opportunity to recover from

environmental influences.

The Office: The Energy Cauldron of the Modern Age

If a household is technologically burdened, a modern office—and especially an open-plan one—is literally an "energy cauldron." During the day, there is a massive accumulation of various fields from many sources simultaneously. The burden at work is specific in that we usually have no control over it.

What creates electrosmog in the workplace?

  • Dozens to hundreds of devices in one place: Each employee has their laptop, mobile phone, and possibly wireless headphones and a mouse.
  • Powerful servers and industrial routers: They keep the company running, but their power and emissions are exponentially higher than domestic versions.
  • Office equipment and lighting: Large multifunctional printers and fluorescent lighting systems generate their own specific fields.

What Does This Mean for Our Bodies?

It is important to realise that our body is a highly sensitive bioelectrical system. Our cells, nerve fibres, and brain operate based on tiny electrical impulses. If we are constantly exposed to artificial electromagnetic fields from our external environment, the body perceives this as a burden.

The nervous system reacts to this burden and stays in a mild state of alert. Constantly balancing this pressure requires energy. Moreover, with long-term exposure, there can be an increased formation of unstable molecules in the body. Normally, the body can handle them, but if the burden is enormous, free radicals are generated in larger quantities, which slows down cellular renewal and leads to feelings of chronic exhaustion.

The Path to Natural Harmony

When people tell me that it's impossible to escape the modern world, I always answer: That's not even the goal. Our vision at Somavedic has never been to block technology, or move into the woods.

The goal is to harmonise the space so that the body has the best possible conditions within it. Somavedic does not create a shield against electrosmog; instead, it uses frequency therapy and negative ions to change the structure of the environment. In this way, it supports our body's natural rhythm, allowing the body to function more naturally, efficiently, and with a greater sense of calm-even in a high-tech office or a fully equipped smart home.
